About
The Lazy Yoga Company exists to help you move a little more and stress a little less. We know about the amazing benefits of movement and mindfulness and we are here to share them with you. Our style of yoga isn't focused on headstands or arm balances, we encourage movement that feels good for you and is great for your body and mind.
We offer 1-2-1 classes because we know that every student has unique goals so we want to make sure we can tailor our classes to exactly what you want to achieve. You might have next to no flexibility or experience, and that's fine. We will work with you class by class to move closer to your aims - and have fun along the way!

We mainly work with absolute beginners and beginners but if you fancy a slow flow mindfulness-based class, then come and join us!

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not very flexible, is yoga right for me?
Absolutely! Yoga is excellent for improving flexibility and expanding your range of movement. With consistent practice, yoga will undoubtedly improve your flexibility.
What physical benefits does yoga provide?
I would like to know more about the history and philosophy of yoga, can I learn that in a 1-2-1 class?
Each student has unique goals. If one of yours is to learn more about the history of yoga then we can spend time during a 1-2-1 class teaching you more about this. The hour is yours, so if you would like to spend 30 mins on yoga philosophy and 30 mins on movement, for example, we can accommodate.
Yoga focuses on improving flexibility and strength. Through holding poses and regular practice of yoga flows, yoga will help to strengthen and tone your body. Yoga can also help with weight management and improve your metabolism.
What mental benefits does yoga provide?
Yoga has been proven to lower stress, improve focus and boost your mood. Yoga encourages a stronger mind-body connection, helping us to become more self-aware and equipping us to better respond to day-to-day stresses.
I'm an intermediate yogi, can I practice with you?
Maintaining a regular and consistent practice will help you achieve your goals but that doesn't mean booking weekly classes with us. You can of course practice by yourself or through group classes at other yoga studios.
Do I have to book weekly classes?
Our classes are designed with beginners in mind but if you are at intermediate level and would like to move through a slow flow with us, and/or incorporate meditation into your practice then you are welcome to join us. Feel free to email us or set up a free consultation if you would like to discuss your goals in more detail.
How do you incorporate mindfulness into your classes?
We believe that mindfulness and connecting our mind and body is essential to a yoga practice. We recommend adding meditation at the beginning and end of each class, however we work with our students to design a class that suits them. If you don't want to include meditation in your practice, that's fine too.
